ISL 2024-25: Bengaluru FC sign StepOut as performance analysis partner

StepOut's comprehensive data analytics and performance tracking will assist BFC in improving team performance and competing at the top level throughout the season.

The Indian Super League (ISL) side, Bengaluru FC (BFC) have inked a sponsorship deal with StepOut, a leading innovator in sports technology.

With this deal, StepOut has become BFC’s official performance analysis partner, signifying an important phase in the nation’s youth football development.

StepOut’s cutting-edge AI-powered ecosystem will be completely integrated into BFC’s youth programs, such as BFC Soccer Schools and reserve teams. The partnership will allow the team to identify undiscovered talents across India, giving these young players the tools and information they need to improve their game. StepOut’s comprehensive data analytics and performance tracking will assist the Sunil Chhetri-led side in improving team performance and competing at the top level throughout the season.

By collaborating with StepOut, the Blues position themselves at the forefront of youth development. The data acquired by StepOut’s technology will enable the team to personalise training programs to each player’s particular demands, resulting in a pipeline of talent prepared to compete on a global scale. This association demonstrates BFC’s dedication to quality and their ambition to develop the next generation of Indian football stars.

Darren Caldeira, Bengaluru FC’s Director of Football, said, “We’re excited to partner with StepOut, an organisation that helps us expand our reach and increase our talent pool at the grassroots level. Our aim has always been to develop football in the country, and this association goes a long way in achieving that. I’m sure that all our Academy Teams, Elite Teams and our BFC Soccer Schools Programme will benefit from this partnership.”

In the past, young athletes were only aware of their standing inside their own academy. With StepOut’s global benchmarking, they can now compare themselves to worldwide norms, find gaps, and work with coaches to design specific growth plans.

Jeet Karmakar, Co-Founder of StepOut, said, “Partnering with Bengaluru FC is a fantastic opportunity for StepOut to enhance youth football development in India. For an academy like BFC with over 1,000 kids nationwide, StepOut will help identify hidden talents and provide BFC’s technical heads with centralized data access to monitor growth and performance remotely across the country!”

Recently, the unit also signed White Gold Money as official gold-buying partner for the upcoming season.

The unit is all set to play its first game against East Bengal FC (EBFC) at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on September 14, 2024.
