The Indian Super League (ISL) defending champions, Hyderabad FC, have opened the 2022/23 season with an entertaining 3-3 draw against Mumbai City FC.
For the ongoing ISL season, the Nizams have been able to retain the majority of their core. Asish Rai, who signed a long-term contract with ATK Mohun Bagan, was a significant departure. On the other hand, the management has enlisted the services of young right-back Soyal Joshy, who shone for Kerala in the Santosh Trophy. Borja Herrera, a versatile Spaniard, has also joined the club.
The Durand Cup 2022 went well for Hyderabad FC. They finished first in Group C with nine points (three wins and a loss). In the competition’s quarter-finals, the club decimated the I-League side Rajasthan United. Bengaluru FC came next. The situation was dire, but the Nizams were defeated by a narrow margin.
From being the underdogs to becoming ISL champions, the journey wasn’t easy but what the team has achieved off the field as well is commendable. Where there is quality, there is a business and Hyderabad FC are one of those teams which lacks none of it. For the ongoing season, the club has signed the following sponsorship agreements.
