ISL 2021-22 season likely to be held in Goa for the second consecutive season: Reports

The tournament will hold under a strict Bio-bubble and players will adhere to strict guidelines to ensure the safety of the players and staff members of respective teams.

The 2020-21 season of the Indian Super League saw itself being conducted in Goa and new reports also suggest that the latest edition of the ISL that will be the 2021-22 season will also be held in Goa.

The tournament will hold under a strict Bio-bubble and players will adhere to strict guidelines to ensure the safety of the players and staff members of respective teams from the virus.

The last season saw Mumbai city FC being crowned champions for the first time finishing first with 40 points in 20 games and scoring a total of 35 goals and conceding only 18.

The entire tournament was held in Tilak Maidan Stadium, GMC Athletic Stadium and Fatorda Stadium in Goa and this will be the same case for the tournament location in the new season.

Keeping in mind the pandemic, the tournament can also be shifted abroad if the situation of the virus worsens in the country, the tournament is scheduled to start from the 19th of November 2021 and will see the entirety of the tournament being held in Goa.

Although the Super Cup will be cancelled yet again for another year due to the pandemic it is said that it isn’t possible to conduct the super cup as of now, the ISL, on the other hand, will be a different case with strict bio bubbles for the players ensuring the smooth conduct of the tournament.
