It has been a steady start to the new Indian Super League campaign for Northeast United FC as they sit second in the points table, three points behind league leaders Mumbai City FC. In the build-up towards the new tournament in Goa, NEUFC was not exactly busy in the market for various sponsorship deals.
NEUFC’s title sponsor is JA entertainment. The entertainment-based company belongs to Bollywood actor John Abraham, who is also co-owner of the football club. As part of the title sponsorship deal, JA entertainment gets big coverage on the first team kit, featuring on the front side of the jersey.
Similar to Kerala Blasters, NEUFC also signed a sponsorship deal with Parimatch News. The sports news portal is the main sponsor of the ISL club for this season. It also features the first team kit, adjacent to the club logo. It is a big deal for NEUFC as Parimatch News has an impressive sponsorship portfolio that includes Juventus and Everton FC.
Apart from these two significant deals, NEUFC also completed a couple of smaller deals before the start of the new campaign. For nutrition partner, NEUFC negotiated a deal with Guardian Healthcare. Meanwhile, NEUFC was part of numerous ISL clubs that signed sponsorship deals with BKT Tyres.
NEUFC is currently flying in ISL 2020, going toe to toe with some of the bigger clubs in the tournament. They are unbeaten in the competition until now. With the future looking seemingly bright for NEUFC on the pitch with young players, they will be able to clinch more attractive deals off the pitch in the coming seasons.
