ISL 2020/21 Sponsors watch: Kerala Blasters FC

Kerala Blasters FC (KBFC) has not enjoyed the best start to the Indian Super League 2020/21 as they are yet to taste victory after four games. However, they were successful towards the build-up to the season in terms of getting sponsors on the board.

The Kerala-based franchise had a new title sponsor for the campaign as they reached an agreement with Byju’s. The edu-tech firm is spotted on the front side of the kit of KBFC. They did bring a halt to the partnership with Muthoot Group as title sponsor, but they are likely to invest in KBFC’s youth academy.

In terms of associate sponsors, KBFC struck a deal with Parimatch news. The media organization is also spotted on the first team kit. Sky Foam and Moschip are other sponsors that have got coverage in the front section of the KBFC jersey. Reliance Jio is no longer associated with the club as it used to be in the past few seasons.

KBFC has also tied up with local businesses for this season. They negotiated a deal with healthcare brand Haeal. KBFC has already launched wellness products in partnership with Haeal. The Kerala based football team also signed up with Indian based nutrition brand Bodyfirst. They also signed a support sponsorship deal with Indian based tech company- EWIRE Softech. This does show that KBFC is eager to tap into the local market considering the popularity of ISL in the country.

ExTravelMoney signed a deal with KBFC to become the club’s Travel Money partner, while they also extended associate sponsorship with Jain Tubes. The football club from South India also extended deal with Reyaur Sports, while StatsSports were brought in as the performance partner.

Along with these key sponsors, KBFC also managed to sign up deals with Gymslave, Kinder Hospital, Malayala Manorama, and Save Box. With an impressive 15 sponsorship deals, KBFC showed the strength of their brand during the pandemic.
