The former international cricketer, Irfan Pathan has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Kolkata’s football club Mohammedan Sporting Club by BunkerHill Sports. Apart from being the brand ambassador, Pathan was earlier the goodwill ambassador of the veteran club. The southpaw is expected to be seen in the black and white jersey at the club’s matches.
BunkerHill Private Limited is a sports management company that partnered with the black and white brigade in 2020 and manages its commercial and promotional engagements. It owns a 50 per cent stake in the club and also looks over the development of football in it.
Mohammedan Sporting won the Kolkata League after four long decades. They beat Railways FC by 1-0 in the final frontier of the season to end the four-decade-old draught. Following this emphatic victory, the club aims for good results in the I-League also.
