BCCI releases the official schedule of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).Â
With the announcement, BCCI also cleared the air and clarified that the first match of the IPL 2020 will be played between 4 times champions Mumbai Indians and 3 times champions Chennai Super Kings in Abu Dhabi International Cricket Stadium.Â
IPL, which usually is played between April-May every year was postponed and then moved out of India due to the pandemic hit India and the consistent surge in cases. 2020 will probably the only year when IPL will be scheduled in the Sep-Nov period.Â
There will be 10 double headers, with the first match starting at 3:30pm IST and the second 7:30pm, according to the BCCI release. Schedule for the playoffs and the IPL 2020 final will be announced later. The final is slated for November 10. The 53-day season is by far the longest in history of the league.
