Skybags has signed a partnership with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to become the franchise’s official luggage partner for the 2026 Indian Premier League season, strengthening its presence within India’s most commercially valuable cricket property.

The association will integrate Skybags across CSK’s travel and promotional ecosystem during the season. The brand will feature on team travel gear and collaborate on digital and social media campaigns, with activations aligned to the IPL calendar. The partnership is also expected to extend into consumer-facing initiatives, potentially including co-branded merchandise and retail promotions.

Commenting on the partnership, Atul Jain, Managing Director and CEO, VIP Industries Limited, said, “Cricket is deeply woven into India’s cultural fabric, and CSK is one of the most respected and successful franchises in the cricket league. This partnership is a natural extension of Skybags’ philosophy of connecting with young, aspirational Indians through platforms they are most passionate about. CSK represents consistency, excellence, and talent, nurturing values that resonate strongly with our brand. This is just the beginning of many such meaningful sporting associations for Skybags.”

KS Viswanathan, Managing Director, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) added, “We are delighted to welcome Skybags to the CSK family as our Official Luggage Partner. We can now offer our fans an additional way to celebrate their passion for CSK. We are sure that this partnership will add to our fan experience and create even stronger connections with our supporters.”

The five-time IPL champions continue to command one of the league’s strongest fan bases and digital followings. The franchise enters the 2026 season with a refreshed squad that blends experience and emerging talent, including MS Dhoni, Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Matt Henry, Dewald Brevis, Shivam Dube, Noor Ahmad and Nathan Ellis.

For Skybags, the partnership provides consistent high-visibility exposure across broadcast and streaming platforms during the IPL window. For CSK, it adds to a diversified sponsorship portfolio that continues to attract leading consumer brands across categories.

The agreement reflects the broader commercial momentum of franchise cricket in India, where lifestyle and retail brands are increasingly leveraging team partnerships to build long-term brand affinity rather than relying solely on traditional advertising bursts.

With sponsorship inventory tightening across leading IPL franchises, the 2026 season is expected to see sustained competition among brands seeking premium association with high-engagement teams.
