Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), a marquee franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), have announced a partnership extension with bigbasket, a TATA Enterprise.
This organisation extends beyond cricket, celebrating common values, speed, dependability, and a strong bond with the people of Bengaluru. As two companies that reflect the city’s pulse, RCB with its enthusiastic audience and bigbasket with its promise of speedy delivery, this relationship combines trust, familiarity, and local pride in one thrilling cooperation.
To kick off this year’s affiliation, bigbasket has produced a digital campaign that captures the essence of Bengaluru’s culture. In the promotional video, RCB’s Virat Kohli, Krunal Pandya, and Devdutt Padikkal have a spirited discussion about starting the upcoming T20 season. It playfully builds to digital artist Danish Sait as Mr. Nags, disguised as a bigbasket delivery partner, delivering the punchline: “Everything you need, delivered right now.”
Hari Menon, Co-Founder & CEO, bigbasket, said, “We are proud partners of RCB for the last three years, and being both a fan in the stands and the official quick commerce partner is exhilarating. At bigbasket, we see ourselves as a reflection of the same spirit, with our focus on speed, trust, and customer delight. We are excited to celebrate Bengaluru’s love for the game in even more meaningful ways.”
Furthermore, RCB have also strengthened their commercial portfolio with deals in financial services, fintech, mobility, and building materials, including Jana Small Finance Bank, TallyPrime, Optimum Nutrition, White Gold Money, Spitze Modular Kitchen Accessories, Navi UPI, Scapia, KT Professional, Magicrete, The Baker’s Dozen and Boldfit.
The unit’s ownership structure has also changed, with investments from Aditya Birla Group, The Times of India Group, Bolt Ventures, and Blackstone‘s perpetual private equity strategy, suggesting confidence in the franchise’s long-term economic sustainability.
