As teams in the TATA IPL 2026 prepare for the exhilarating race to the play-offs, JioStar’s reach and engagement across linear TV and digital platforms continue to rise. With playoff berths still available, season 19 has retained a level of surprise, resulting in TATA IPL 2026’s highest-ever reach of 1.1 billion.
While linear TV reach has remained steady and is on track to achieve 500 million viewers, digital reach has increased by 15% and watch-time by 7%. CTV’s reach has increased by 25%, with watch-time up 20%. The regional language watch-time has increased by a remarkable 42%. The figures show a constant growth in TATA IPL viewers across platforms, devices, and formats.
Anup Govindan, Head of Sales, JioStar – Sports, said, “What stands out this TATA IPL season is the consistency of fan engagement right through the league stage across JioStar platforms. The competitive intensity has driven a week-on-week climb in reach which shows how strongly the tournament is resonating with fans across screens. As the race to playoffs intensifies, JioStar continues to be the unmatched platform for bringing together scale, emotion and relevance for all our stakeholders.”
JioStar’s presentation of the TATA IPL 2026 has been boosted by 125 additional advertisers compared to the previous season, representing a varied range of businesses. JioStar has collaborated with 22 digital sponsors and 16 linear TV sponsors, representing a mix of traditional Indian businesses and new-age, technology-led platforms that reflect the TATA IPL’s national reach and expanding significance to marketers.
This has been strengthened by innovations such as JioStar’s “Champions Wali Feed,” which features legends, former champions, and leading voices in the game such as Ravichandran Ashwin, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag, and Irfan Pathan, among many others, who provide fans with in-depth analysis, untold anecdotes, and real-time match predictions in addition to live action.
This season’s persistent momentum has been fuelled not just by the upheaval in the league standings, but also by the quality of cricket played. The emergence of bold young prodigies, along with solid performances by legends and veteran stars, has kept fan interest high throughout the tournament. Every matchday now has substantial playoff implications, which keeps fans engaged across geographies and demographics.
As the competition enters its final stretch, the steady increase in reach and engagement demonstrates the TATA IPL’s ongoing popularity and JioStar’s status as the home of live sports.
