Equitas Small Finance Bank (Equitas SFB) has renewed its partnerships with Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans ahead of the Indian Premier League season, continuing its association as the official banking partner of both franchises. The renewal reinforces the bank’s long-term sports marketing strategy and strengthens its presence within the IPL’s commercial ecosystem.

The 2026 season marks the seventh year of collaboration between Equitas SFB and Chennai Super Kings, while the association with Gujarat Titans enters its fourth consecutive year. The partnerships underline the bank’s sustained investment in cricket as a platform to enhance brand visibility and deepen consumer engagement across key regional markets.

As part of the activation for the upcoming season, Equitas SFB will roll out its campaign titled “Bank Like a Champion”, positioning the brand alongside the high-performance culture associated with the two franchises. The campaign will be integrated across multiple fan touchpoints, including team-linked marketing initiatives, digital engagement and match-related promotional activities.

Vignesh Murali, Chief Marketing Officer and Business Head – Banker on Wheels, Equitas Small Finance Bank, said, “As our home team, CSK helps us deepen our connection in Chennai, while our association with GT strengthens our footprint in Gujarat, a market known for its financial acumen. This year, we continue to highlight our rewarding banking offerings, including high-interest Savings Accounts (6% for balances from ₹5 lakh to ₹50 lakh) and Fixed Deposits with Senior Citizen rates up to 8%. Alongside these, our popular Equitas Express Service brings expert premium banking service right to the customer’s doorstep.”

The partnerships are strategically aligned with the bank’s regional growth priorities. Chennai continues to serve as a core market for Equitas SFB, while Gujarat represents a financially active consumer base with strong potential for expansion of retail banking products. Through the IPL platform, the bank aims to strengthen awareness of its savings accounts, fixed deposits and assisted home banking services, positioning itself as a customer-centric financial solutions provider.

Equitas SFB has consistently leveraged sports partnerships to build trust and brand familiarity, with cricket offering one of the most effective national platforms to connect with mass and affluent audiences simultaneously. The continued association with two high-profile IPL franchises reflects a broader strategy focused on sustained brand recall, regional relevance and long-term customer acquisition.

The Indian Premier League remains one of the most commercially valuable sporting properties globally, providing financial services brands with high visibility through broadcast reach, digital engagement and strong fan loyalty. By extending its partnerships with the Super Kings and the Titans, Equitas SFB continues to align its brand with performance, ambition and consistency, while strengthening its positioning within India’s competitive banking sector.
