Delhi Capitals have expanded their sponsorship portfolio ahead of their opening fixture of the 2026 Indian Premier League season, announcing partnerships with renewable energy conglomerate KP Group as associate sponsor and cricket technology platform CREX as fan engagement partner.

The dual announcement reflects the franchise’s continued strategy of aligning with brands operating in high-growth sectors such as sustainability and digital fan engagement, while reinforcing the commercial depth of its partner ecosystem ahead of the new season.

KP Group’s association highlights the increasing presence of renewable energy companies within the sports sponsorship landscape, as firms seek to build wider brand recall through platforms capable of delivering scale and emotional connection. Headquartered in Gujarat, KP Group operates across solar and wind energy development, hybrid power solutions and infrastructure engineering, positioning itself as an integrated player in India’s clean energy transition.

Dr Faruk G. Patel, chairman & MD, KP Group, said, “We are delighted to partner with Delhi Capitals as the Associate Sponsor for IPL 2026. Cricket in India is more than just a sport; it is a platform that brings millions of people together. At KP Group, we are building a future driven by clean and sustainable energy, and this association allows us to connect with a wider audience and showcase our commitment to powering India’s growth responsibly. We look forward to an exciting season with Delhi Capitals and a meaningful partnership ahead.”

The agreement is expected to provide KP Group with brand visibility across a range of team assets, including match-day inventory, digital integrations and co-branded marketing initiatives throughout the IPL 2026 season.

Alongside KP Group, Delhi Capitals have also partnered with CREX, underlining the growing importance of second-screen experiences in modern sports consumption. Digital platforms are increasingly becoming a key layer within the live match ecosystem, offering fans interactive formats that complement broadcast viewing.

As part of the collaboration, CREX will introduce quiz-led engagement formats integrated into live matches, allowing users to participate in real-time contests based on match situations and predictions. The initiative aims to encourage deeper fan involvement during Delhi Capitals fixtures across the tournament.

Purshottam Rawat, CEO of CREX, said, “Cricket today is no longer a one-screen experience. Fans want to be involved in every moment of the game. Our partnership with Delhi Capitals is about turning passive viewership into active participation, where every ball, every over, becomes an opportunity to engage. We’re excited to bring this experience to millions of fans during T20 season 2026.”

The addition of KP Group and CREX illustrates the evolving composition of IPL sponsorship portfolios, where franchises are combining established brand categories with companies representing emerging sectors such as renewable energy and interactive sports technology.

As the commercial landscape of sport continues to shift towards sustainability-led messaging and data-driven fan engagement, partnerships of this nature reinforce the IPL’s position as a high-impact platform for brands seeking both visibility and innovation within India’s rapidly expanding sports economy.
