In the 68th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) tonight, i.e., May 25, at 7:30 PM at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have had an up-and-down season and are presently at ninth in the rankings. However, under Pat Cummins‘ direction, they have regained form with back-to-back victories and will want to end on a high. Their dynamic batting lineup, which includes Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Aniket Verma, will appreciate the batting-friendly conditions in Delhi. In the previous game, Abhishek scored a quick 34, while Kishan excelled with a dominant 94 in a 47-run victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). With the ball, Jaydev Unadkat showed promise, and Eshan Malinga offered depth with an outstanding spell. Cummins will hope his team maintains its momentum and finishes the season on a high note.

The 18th season was disappointing for last year’s winners, Kolkata Knight Riders. With only five victories in 13 games, Ajinkya Rahane‘s team never gained momentum, and their fragile playoff prospects were destroyed when rain cancelled their match against RCB on May 17. Despite a lineup that was similar to last year’s, KKR failed to retain their dominance. Rahane, who is not renowned for his T20 heroics, emerged as their leading batsman, scoring 375 runs, including a team-high 20 sixes. Sunil Narine (16) and Andre Russell (14) followed closely. Venkatesh Iyer‘s INR 23.75 crore return resulted in only 142 runs in 11 matches, with 82 of those coming from ten games excluding his lone fifty.  Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora were expensive in their bowling yet deliered when it mattered. The spin trio of Varun Chakaravarthy, Sunil Narine, and Anukul Roy was a shining light, frequently challenging opposing batters.
