In the 68th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 110 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
SRH won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision turned right as SRH went all out against the Knights. Abhishek Sharma (32) started with some blistering shots in the powerplay, with Travis Head (76), from the other end, scoring a half century. Head, blasted six fours and six sixes and played at a strike rate of 190. Overall, SRH scored 79 runs in the powerplay. Furthermore, Heinrich Klassen (105*) took over and delivered a fantastic century at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Protea batter hammered seven fours and nine massive sixes at a strike rate of 269.23. The likes of Ishan Kishan (29), and Aniket Verma (12) also added few runs, which took SRH to a massive total of 278/3 in 20 overs.
In the chase, Sunil Narine (31) provided top start for KKR in the powerplay, while Ajinkya Rahane (15) also showcased intent with three boundaries. While Angkrish Raghuvanshi (14) also contributed, it was Manish Pandey (37) who scored few runs in the middle overs. Towards the end, Harshit Rana (34) added runs in the end, which helped KKR to reach 168/10.
While defending, SRH were all over KKR as the likes of Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga and Harsh Dubey scalped three wickets.
For KKR with the ball, two wickets were taken by Sunil Narine while one was taken by Vaibhav Arora.
With this win, SRH conclude their season with a win.
