In the 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) today, i.e., March 30, at 7:30 PM, at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
CSK suffered a heavy 50-run loss to RCB, their biggest home defeat, while RR also lost to KKR by 8 wickets. With minimal rest due to a travel day, CSK faces a tough challenge. Ruturaj Gaikwad will aim to bounce back and exploit Rajasthan’s weaknesses. Rachin Ravindra and Rahul Tripathi will target RR’s struggling new-ball attack, while the middle order, including Gaikwad, Deepak Hooda, and Sam Curran, must provide stability. The lower middle order, with Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, and Ravichandran Ashwin, will add depth. CSK’s bowlers need early breakthroughs from Khaleel Ahmed and Ashwin, with Jadeja and Curran controlling the middle overs. Pathirana, Dube, and Noor Ahmed will add depth to the attack. For CSK to bounce back, a collective effort is crucial.
The Royals are still searching for their first points, having lost both their matches by large margins. They were hammered by Hyderabad, who posted the second-highest total in IPL history, and then comfortably defeated by KKR. Riyan Parag will need to inspire confidence in the team, and the onus will be on Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal to provide a strong start. The middle order, with Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, and Nitish Rana, holds key, and players like Wanindu Hasaranga, Dhruv Jurel, and Shubham Dubey can add quick runs. After disappointing bowling performances in both games, the Royals’ attack is under pressure. Fazalhaq Farooqi, replacing Jofra Archer, must deliver a good spell alongside Maheesh Theekshana. Hasaranga, Parag, and Sandeep Sharma will be crucial in the middle overs, with support needed from Nitish Rana and Tushar Deshpande.
Head-to-Head:
Both sides have faced each other in 29 matches, of which CSK have won 16 while RR have come out victorious on 13 occasions.
