The Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Rajasthan Royals (RR) have onboarded str8bat as their skilling partner for the 2025 season.
This agreement solidifies the Royals’ position as the first and only IPL team to fully incorporate artificial intelligence and deep technology into its player scouting, training, and performance programs.
This is not a fresh cooperation; it is an evolution. Since 2019, str8bat has silently supported the Rajasthan Royals’ high-performance setup. With this relationship, the Royals are setting a new standard in professional cricket by incorporating technology into their overall approach.

At the core of this revolution is str8bat’s unique, camera-less bat sensor, which measures bat speed, back-lift angle, timing, sweet spot percentage, and other factors with each shot a batter makes. This information is given in real time and used by the Royals’ coaching team to develop highly personalised training routines.

As cricket progresses, particularly in T20s, str8bat’s accuracy becomes critical. The platform processes more than 25 million data points every month, assisting athletes of all levels, from grassroots to national teams, in improving their game.
