Spinner is a sports drink brand recently introduced by Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), a division of Reliance Industries. Spinner, co-founded with Sri Lankan cricket icon Muttiah Muralitharan, promises to revolutionise India’s sports beverage sector by providing an inexpensive hydration option. Spinner, priced at ₹10 for a 150 ml bottle, is substantially less expensive than worldwide brands like Gatorade and Powerade, which normally retail at ₹50 for a 500 ml container.
The alliance is another key addition to the Punjab Kings’ increasing sponsorship portfolio. The franchise has lately added numerous well-known brands, including BKT Tires, Dazller, Kingfisher, Valvoline, All Seasons, Kent RO, Kshema General Insurance, Highland, Avon Cycles, and FREEMANS, demonstrating its growing commercial attractiveness in the very competitive IPL landscape.
The unit won its inaugural match against Gujarat Titans (GT), courtesy of a sublime knock from skipper Shreyas Iyer. The side, currently third on the points table, will next take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 1 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
