IPL 2025 LSG vs CSK: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

Both nations have faced each other five times in the IPL, of which CSK have won one, whereas LSG have come out victorious on three occasions.

In the 30th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will host Chennai Super Kings (CSK), tonight, i.e., April 14, at 7:30 PM IST at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

LSG won three games and lost one at Ekana Stadium, and will be positive of taking on CSK. Rishabh Pant‘s form has been concerning, but he opened in the last game, in which he looked good. Moreover, the LSG skipper has been able to relax thanks to the batting support of Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, and Nicholas Pooran. Notably, it will be interesting to see if Marsh makes a comeback tonight. The hard hitters have been in top form, while David Miller, and Ayush Badoni lead the middle order, ensuring steadiness and acceleration when required. Their bowling attack, which includes Shardul Thakur, Avesh Khan, and Akash Deep, provides diversity and depth. LSG have the versatility to respond to any circumstance with its roster of all-rounders.

CSK, on the other hand, have been coping with injuries, including those to skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, prompting MS Dhoni to return to the leadership role. They arrived in Lucknow following a horrific home defeat in which they played as many dot balls (61) as their opponents (KKR) need for chasing down the target. Chennai, one of the most reliable teams in IPL history, will try to rebound strongly. With Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway at the helm, they have a strong foundation. MS Dhoni, Shivam Dube, and Ravindra Jadeja contribute experience to steer the team through critical moments. Chennai’s bowling attack is stocked with wicket-takers. The speed trio of Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Choudhary, and Matheesha Pathirana may look to take down LSG’s batters, while Noor Ahmad and Ravichandran Ashwin will be key on the Lucknow pitch.
