The five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have inked a partnership renewal with the Indian commercial financial institution brand, Equitas Small Finance Bank.
With this extended partnership, Equitas Small Finance Bank will remain CSK’s official banking partner.
Equitas Small Finance Bank is a relatively young player in the Indian banking industry. The financial institute began as a microfinance lender and obtained a full banking licence in 2016. The bank’s primary concentration continues on serving retail clients, with a particular emphasis on microfinance, small company loans, and personal loans.
Equitas SFB will provide CSK and their fans with a variety of financial services and products, including banking solutions and other creative options. The collaboration is expected to boost both CSK and Equitas SFB’s brand reach by combining the power of cricket with accessible financial services. This collaboration coincides with the growing trend of sports teams cooperating with financial institutions to provide special perks to its supporters while increasing their overall brand value.
Along with Equitas SFB, CSK have also forged ties with Rayzon Solar, Refex Group, Baashyaam Constructions, Etihad Airways, and playR. These agreements solidify Chennai Super Kings’ position as the top IPL team, demonstrating their dominance both on and off the pitch.
CSK are set to commence their campaign on March 23 at its iconic home ground, the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The opening match will see them face off against their fierce rivals, Mumbai Indians (MI), in a thrilling encounter that is sure to capture the attention of cricket fans across the country.
