IPL 2025 Auction: Bhuvneshwar bags massive INR 10.75 crore deal from RCB; Jansen find new home at PBKS

Washington Sundar was a great acquisition for Gujarat Titans (GT) at INR 3.2 crore, while Sam Curran made his return to CSK for INR 2.4 crore.

The Indian international bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been picked up by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for a massive INR 10.75 crore. Bhuvneshwar was always a highly sought-after acquisition. Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were in a bidding battle for him, but ultimately, RCB made their move at the perfect time, securing Bhuvi and ensuring he reunites with Virat Kohli next season.

Along with him, RCB also brought in Krunal Pandya for INR 5.75 crore.

Marco Jansen, the top South African all-rounder, has been acquired by Punjab Kings (PBKS) for a lucrative INR 7 crore. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals (RR) obtained former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Nitish Rana and former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fast bowler Tushar Deshpande for INR 4.2 crore and INR 6.5 crore, respectively.

Along with this, Washington Sundar was a great acquisition for Gujarat Titans (GT) at INR 3.2 crore, while Sam Curran made his return to CSK for INR 2.4 crore, as PBKS opted not to increase their bid for the former player.

GT also made a key move by signing South Africa’s Gerald Coetzee for INR 2.4 crore.

Another big story from day 2 is the acquisition of Faf Du Plessis, who was purchased by Delhi Capitals (DC) for INR 2 crore. DC also retained the service of Mukesh Kumar for INR a massive INR 8 crore.

India pacer Akash Deep emerged as a notable acquisition, joining LSG for INR 8 crore. The spinners had a tough time, except for Afghanistan’s Allah Ghazanfar, who was picked up by MI for INR 4.8 crore. MI also made a strong bid for Deepak Chahar, securing him for INR 9.25 crore.
