IPL 2023 LSG vs CSK: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In their previous outing, which took place earlier this year, CSK won the match by 12 runs.

In the 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow tomorrow i.e. Wednesday, May 3 at 3:30 PM IST.

It will be interesting to see how the Super Giants come out tomorrow after their intense animated outing against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Post failing to chase a minimum target, LSG will look to make a solid comeback and what better than making a statement against the four-time IPL winners? Another bad news is the exclusion of skipper KL Rahul. Nevertheless, fans may expect to see a different brand of cricket with Krunal Pandya at the helm. It will also be intriguing to observe which combination the team chooses. Quinton de Kock can also get into the starting XI as Kyle Mayers isn’t wrecking the ball lately. Both batters and bowlers need to adapt to the slow wicket as soon as they can which can be a great boost for the home side.

On the other hand, CSK, who have 10 points, are also comfortably positioned in fourth place. Although the batters did a phenomenal job in their last outing against Punjab Kings (PBKS), their bowlers’ disappointed fans as they conceded 200 runs. However this time, Mahendra Singh Dhoni will benefit greatly from the Ekana stadium’s bowlers-friendly pitch. There is no surprise as to why there is no batting crisis for CSK as Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad are regularly providing good starts and players like MS Dhoni, Shivam Dube, and Ravindra Jadeja late enhance the total in the last few overs. It will be intriguing to see how bowlers fare on this wicket. Tushar Deshpande, however, is performing at his peak this year and is a serious candidate for the Purple Cap. If other bowlers don’t step up, CSK supporters may have reason to worry once more.
