IPL 2023 KKR vs SRH: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In the head-to-head competition between the two sides, KKR have the upper hand.

In the 19th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata tonight i.e. Friday, April 14 at 7:30 PM IST.

KKR will be heading into this home fixture on the back of ecstatic consecutive victories. After bagging a comprehensive victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the Knight Riders’ Rinku Singh did the unthinkable by smashing five consecutive sixes against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final over with 29 runs needed. Suddenly, the two-time IPL champions are looking like a force to reckon with and could be a major contender for clinching the trophy. The new skipper, Nitish Rana will look forward to claiming a third victory in a row by winning tonight in front of the home crowd. KKR have currently acquired the fourth spot with four points and a win today will help them grab the top spot on the points table.

On the other hand, SRH, who commenced their season with two back-to-back losses, finally secured a victory against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and opened their tally of points. With not many popular names in this team but the 2016 champions could be the dark horses moving forward into this season. Rahul Tripathi and the captain Aiden Markram fired with the bat, which are positive signs for the team, a thumping knock from Harry Brook could help the franchise attain momentum for its upcoming games. The Hyderabad-based side has obtained the ninth position with two points.


In the head-to-head competition between the two sides, KKR have the upper hand. Both teams played 23 fixtures against each other, the Knight Riders won 15 fixtures while SRH emerged victorious on eight instances.

In the last outing between the two teams, which took place last year, SRH won the fixture by seven wickets.
