IPL 2023 Final CSK vs GT: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Final, the four-time IPL winners, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on the defending champions, Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad tonight i.e. Sunday, May 28 at 7:30 PM IST.

It all comes down to the season finale, where the top two teams in the standings will take viewers on an exhilarating 3.5-hour ride. CSK already defeated GT in the Qualifier 1 to book their place in the final. The team scored 172 runs in 20 overs while batting first after losing the toss. Both the openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway, continued their brilliant form and added 87 runs for the first wicket. The same would be expected from them at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Ambati Rayudu, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja also showcased excellence with the bat. A lot would be expected from the skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who could be playing his final IPL game. With the ball, an inexperienced bowling attack did its best throughout the season under the leadership of captain cool. The likes of Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana, Tushar Deshpande and more will once again try to do their best and win the fifth title for CSK.

On the other hand, after losing to CSK on Tuesday, GT played the second qualifier against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Friday and batted first after losing the toss. Shubman Gill outscored Faf du Plessis to overtake him as the tournament’s highest run-scorer after smashing his third century of the season. Gill struck 129 runs at a massive strike rate of 215 and helped GT post a total of 233 runs. Hardik Pandya, Sai Sudharsan and Rashid Khan are also doing well with the willow. Furthermore, the team did a great job against MI with the ball as well. While Mohammad Shami is successfully delivering breakthroughs in the powerplay, Mohit Sharma is acquiring wickets towards the death. In the previous match, Sharma grabbed a fifer. Not to mention the danger of Rashid Khan in the middle overs. The Gujarat-based team will have the benefit of playing at home, and given the favourable circumstances, the side expects to win its second consecutive IPL title.
