In the 41st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will host Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai tomorrow i.e. Sunday, April 30 at 3:30 PM IST.
CSK have currently acquired the fourth spot in the standings with five victories and three defeats. The four-time champions played eight games, won five matches and lost thrice. The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led team will be heading into this fixture on the back of losing against Rajasthan Royals (RR) earlier this week. For the upcoming game, the Chennai unit is heading back to its base, which could be a major plus point for the team. A victory tomorrow might help them secure a place in the top two of the points table.
On the other end, PBKS are at the sixth spot with eight points to their name. The franchise played eight matches, so far, won and lost four fixtures each. The regular captain, Shikhar Dhawan returned to the side in the previous game but the team lost against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by a margin of 56 runs. The 2014 finalist will be looking to bounce back on a slightly slowish track in Chennai as compared to Mohali.
