The five-time winners of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians (MI) are struggling big time in the ongoing season of the competition. The team hasn’t managed to register a single victory in its first three games.
On the field, it might look difficult for Mumbai but off the field, it’s completely opposite. The Mukesh Ambani-backed team has roped in numerous sponsorship deals to increase its brand value and expand the sponsorship portfolio. Let’s have a look at the sponsors of MI for IPL 2022:
The Mumbai-based team has signed a partnership with the credit card company, Slice Cards. For the next three years, Slice will be the primary sponsor of MI. The credit card company has taken over as the team’s front-of-shirt sponsor, replacing Samsung. Along with this, the team has also signed DHL in the same category. MI had first signed this deal with the international express service provider back in 2021.
Under this segment, Mumbai Indians have roped in various sponsorship deals, which include Meesho, Kingfisher, USHA, Dream11, Cadbury Dairy Milk, ACKO, Bombay Shaving Company, McDowells, TeamViewer, BKT Tires, Amul Kool, Strata, Performax Activewear, ESA (Reliance Foundation- Education & Sports for All), DNA Networks, Radio City 91.1 FM and FeverFM.
The five-time IPL champions will next take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 9 at the MCA stadium in Pune. The team will be hoping to clinch their first game of the season.
