Mumbai Indians are having a disastrous season so far in the IPL 2022. The five-time IPL champions have lost eight matches in a row and look in complete turmoil. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals are doing well on the field under the leadership of Sanju Samson. The starstudded RR beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 29 runs in their previous game. Jos Butler has been in a roaring form so far in the season, the English batsman has smashed three centuries till now. Yuzvendra Chahal has spun the fate of the inaugural champions with his leg-spin. After playing eight games, RR won six matches and lost twice. The Rajasthan-based team currently has the Purple Cap holder and Orange Cap holder in its line-up. With 12 points, RR have occupied the second spot on the points table.

Mumbai has the upper hand in the head-to-head competition between the two teams. The two franchises faced off on 26 occasions, MI won 13 fixtures while RR emerged victorious on 12 instances.Â
