In the 18th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) on Saturday, April 9 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune at 7:30 PM IST.
The five-time IPL champions have been really struggling in the ongoing edition of the Indian marquee domestic league. Mumbai Indians will walk into their next fixture on Saturday on the back of three consecutive losses. A lack of quality death bowler, who could work in cohesion with Jasprit Bumrah has been snatching winning opportunities for the team. Pat Cummins‘ hammering in the previous match defines the inexperienced death bowling options. The silver lining from the previous game was the consistency of Tilak Verma, Kieron Pollard‘s contribution with the bat and the return of their most dependable batsman, Surya Kumar Yadav. The Rohit Sharma-led team will look to make some changes in its bowling line-up before they walk onto the field for the next game.
Under the new leadership of Faf du Plessis, Royal Challengers Bangalore have played well so far. On the back of consecutive victories, the RCB camp will be high on confidence before they face their arch-rivals. Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel have been highly effective with the ball for the team. The biggest plus point of the team so far is the upgraded match finishing skills of Dinesh Karthik. The Indian wicket-keeper has been in top-notch form and is yet to be dismissed in the current season.
