In the 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on the struggling Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday, April 24 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai at 7:30 PM IST.
Coming from straight seven losses, Mumbai Indians are finding it really difficult to get over the line even once in the ongoing season. After displaying a fighting performance, MI failed to execute their plans against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final over. The silver lining from the previous game has been the consistency of Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma. The out of form openers are failing to give a proper start in the powerplay, due to which the five-time champions aren’t able to register a robust total on the board. Without scoring a point so far, the Mumbai-based franchise have acquired the 10th spot.
On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants are having a good run till now in their debut season. They played seven games so far out of which they won four and lost thrice. LSG will be heading into their next game on the back of an 18-run defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The in-form KL Rahul, healthy contributions from the middle order along with the presence of Marcus Stoinis in the lower-middle order have made the LSG batting line-up fully equipped. With eight points on the board, the Lucknow-based team has occupied the fourth position.

In the head-to-head competition, LSG have the upper hand. The two franchises have collided just once before, Lucknow came out victorious by 18 runs.
