IPL 2022: Lucknow Super Giants associate with Sunstone Eduversity

During this cricket season, Sunstone is expected to award scholarships worth up to INR 4 crore.

The higher education service provider, Sunstone Eduversity has announced a partnership with one of the new teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). With this collaboration, Sunstone Eduversity has been named as the associate partner of the KL Rahul-led side for the upcoming edition of IPL.

As part of the association, Sunstone launches the #JeetegaSparkHi campaign, which will announce scholarships for deserving students for the duration of the IPL season. Sunstone’s #JeetegaSparkHi initiative recognises the ‘spark’ in every student. The campaign is consistent with Sunstone’s belief system, which celebrates each student’s potential and provides them with an ecosystem in which they can grow and succeed.

The scholarship will be linked to the number of runs scored by LSG in each match. Sunstone will convert each run/four/six/centuries/etc. made by the team into a scholarship amount that can be used until the team’s next match. During this cricket season, Sunstone is expected to award scholarships worth up to INR 4 crore.

Piyush Nangru, Co-Founder & COO, Sunstone Eduversity, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming IPL Season. In a country like ours, where everyone is enthralled by cricket, this alliance provides an emerging education brand like Sunstone with an excellent opportunity to engage with young people who aspire to build promising futures for themselves.”

Alekhya Chakrabarty, Head of Marketing, Sunstone Eduversity said, “At Sunstone we always think youth first, and hence an association of the brand with the Indian Premier League felt just right. The target market and brand vision of Sunstone is resonant with what Lucknow Super Giants also has, so it was a natural choice as our partner in the IPL.”

Raghu Iyer, CEO of RPSG sports, said, “We are delighted to have Sunstone Eduversity on board as Lucknow Super Giants’ sponsor. We appreciate their confidence in our new franchise and are optimistic that this will be a successful and long-standing partnership. We look forward to this association helping us strengthen our connection with the student communities.”

Recently, the Sanjiv Goenka-owned franchise has also teamed up with Darwin Platform Group of Companies and Credenc.com.

The Lucknow-based team will begin their debut IPL journey against Gujarat Titans (GT) on March 28 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
