Lucknow Super Giants had an excellent outing in their debut season. The IPL debutants are on the verge of qualifying for the playoffs, they just need two more points to book their berth in the knockouts stage. LSG faced a humiliating defeat in the previous game when they got all out under 100 against their fellow entrants, Gujarat Titans (GT). KL Rahul, along with the team’s mentor, Gautam Gambhir, will sort out issues ahead of the most crucial stage of the tournament. After playing 12 games, GT won eight matches and lost four fixtures. With 16 points, LSG have acquired the second spot on the table at the moment.
On the other end, Rajasthan Royals are also in an active fight to attain a spot in the top four. The inaugural champions are having a good season. Jos Bulter has failed to score big in the past few games due to which, the team couldn’t set up a big total. A victory on Sunday could strengthen the team’s position in the top four of the table. RR played 12 games till now, they won seven and lost five times. RR have occupied the third position currently with 14 points.
The two teams collided once earlier in the season and Rajasthan won the game by three runs.
