In the 57th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, the debutants will collide for the second time in the competition. Gujarat Titans will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 10 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune at 7:30 PM IST.
The two IPL debutants are having a fun outing in the Indian marquee T20 league. Both teams are battling for the top spot at the moment. Gujarat Titans had acquired the number one position but they were finally dethroned by their fellow IPL entrants. Lucknow Super Giants have the same amount of points as their Tuesday opponent but due to a better NRR, the franchise has claimed the higher position.
After losing to the struggling Mumbai Indians (MI) in their previous game, GT will look to bounce back and sit atop the leaderboard. The franchise’s batting line-up, which majorly consists of pinch hitters fumbled in the run chase and failed to achieve the target for the first time in the season. Hardik Pandya and company will take lessons from their previous venture before stepping on the field on Tuesday.
LSG have been highly consistent in the season so far. The team is currently on a four-match winning streak and will look forward to extending it further. The team’s batting line-up hasn’t been dependent on a couple of batsmen. Contributions have been made right from the opening pair to the lower-middle order batsmen. Dushmantha Chameera, Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan have been highly economical with their bowling spells. KL Rahul and his team will walk into their upcoming game, full of confidence after thrashing Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday over the weekend.
