The Indian Premier League (IPL) outfit, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have announced the social skill gaming platform, WinZO as its principal sponsor for the upcoming season.
KKR unveiled this news on their official social media handles on Monday, March 14. The franchise posted a small video with the caption, “A partnership that’s a win-win!
We are thrilled to announce @winzoofficial as our Principal Sponsor this season!”
WinZo is headquartered in New Delhi and was founded in 2018. As per its official website, WinZo is the biggest social gaming app in India in terms of games, languages and exciting formats on the platform. With this association with KKR, the gaming platform aims to make its stand in the sports business arena. Recently, WinZo has also inked a partnership with the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) teams Patna Pirates, Gujarat Giants and Bengal Warriors. Earlier this month, the Delhi-based organization also got Mahendra Singh Dhoni on board as its brand ambassador.
Ahead of the IPL 2022, the Knight Riders have started landing sponsorship deals. Apart from WinZo, the Shahrukh Khan-backed team has signed sponsorship contracts with ACKO and Joy so far.
In the IPL 2022 retention, the two-time IPL champions retained Andre Russell (INR 12 crore), Varun Chakravarthy (INR 8 crore), Venkatesh Iyer (INR 8 crore) and Sunil Narine (INR 6 crore).
