The Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have announced a new sponsorship deal with the soft drink brand, Thums Up. Following this deal, the popular cold beverage company has been labelled as the official beverage partner of the franchise for IPL 2022.

Thums Up is a cola brand in India. It was introduced in 1977 to compensate for The Coca-Cola Company’s withdrawal from India. Coca-Cola later purchased the brand and relaunched it to compete with Pepsi.
