In the 35th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will play against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Saturday, April 23 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai at 3:30 PM IST.
After facing three consecutive defeats, Kolkata Knight Riders will look to make some serious changes in their line-up before they take on the in-form Gujarat Titans. The two-time IPL winners started the season on a higher note with pocketing three victories in their first four games. KKR couldn’t manage to maintain the momentum and form in the last three games as they weren’t able to cross the finish line. Genuine efforts from Andre Russell, Shreyas Iyer and Umesh Yadav have been reflected so far. The Knight Riders played seven games till now, lost four and won thrice. With six points on the board, KKR have acquired the seventh spot.
On the other end, GT are having a fairy tale debut season so far. They didn’t face any issues while adjusting to the highly competitive Indian marquee T20 league. After playing six games, the Hardik Pandya-led franchise has won five and lost just once. The Gujarat-based franchise will walk into Saturday’s game full of confidence after beating the defending champions in a high octane run chase. The in-form skipper, Rashid Khan‘s contribution with bat and ball along with David Miller showcasing his abilities, GT seems like a force to reckon with. GT are the table toppers at the moment, with 10 points.
