In the 19th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will square off with Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday, April 10 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai at 3:30 PM IST.
Kolkata Knight Riders have been in a roaring form lately, apart from their last over defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), they haven’t done anything wrong. The return of Pat Cummins hasn’t only strengthened their bowling line-up but also notched up their batting depth. After destroying Mumbai Indians‘ (MI) bowling unit in the previous game, Cummins and the Knight Riders will walk into their next fixture with the utmost confidence. With a stable top-order along with a couple of pinch hitters down the order, KKR seems to be at the top of their game at the moment. With six points in four games, the two-time IPL champions have acquired the number one spot on the points table.
On the other end, Delhi Capitals are going through a quiet season so far. They have registered just one victory out of the three games they played till now. In their previous match, they lost the last-over thriller by six wickets against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The Delhi-based team has some renowned names in their squad but they haven’t managed to execute their plans well to take their team over the finish line. The Delhi camp will count on David Warner and his experience to anchor the innings. The Rishabh Pant-led team will also look to sort out their bowling woes.
Head-to-head:
In the head-to-head competition between the two teams, KKR have the upper hand. The two teams faced off on 29 occasions, Kolkata won 16 fixtures while Delhi came out victorious on 12 instances.
In the last outing between the two teams, the Knight Riders won the last-over thriller by three wickets.
