The new Indian Premier League (IPL) outfit, Gujarat Titans have joined forces with the insurance firm, ACKO for the 15th season of the most-awaited T20 tournament in India. As part of the partnership, ACKO got appointed as the official insurance partner of the Gujarat-based team.
The update was announced by the private sector entity through its social media handles, wherein it showcased gratitude over this move.
This association would benefit ACKO with increased brand reflection and recognition as it teams up with one of the most commercially engaged franchises. The insurance provider has a notable standing in the sports industry as it has affiliated with popular franchises such as Chennaiyin FC, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI). The firm has also partnered with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the 2022 IPL edition.
Ahead of the 15th season, the franchise has held several key commercial decisions for portfolio enhancement and brand marketing. This includes the appointment of the former COO of FC Goa, Aditya Datta, as their commercial and marketing director and the principal sponsorship deal with Ather Energy. In addition, the team has also launched its official logo on Spatial.io’s metaverse to further elevate its branding.
The CVC Capital Partners-owned team performed well in the IPL mega auction too. They have got onboard some talented players to make an impact in their debut season. These players include Lockie Ferguson, Jason Roy, Dominic Drakes, Mohammad Shami. The team also have the likes of Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill.
