IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans add Astral Pipes to sponsorship portfolio

Astral Pipes will be the associate sponsor of the team for the upcoming season.

One of the two new Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, Gujarat Titans (GT) have announced a partnership with Astral Pipes.

In this association, the leading Indian pipe manufacturers will be the associate sponsor of the team for the upcoming season. The announcement of the deal was made by the Gujarat-based team on their official social media handles.

GT was bought by CVC Capital Partners for INR 5166 crore last year in October in the IPL 2022 teams auction. Ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction, the new franchise named Hardik Pandya (INR 15 crore), Rashid Khan (INR 15 crore) and Shubman Gill (INR 8 crore) as draft picks. Hardik was announced captain of the side.

Astral Pipes was formed in 1996 in Gujarat with the intent of manufacturing plumbing and drainage systems in India. As of 2022, the company has been functioning across four countries, 13 manufacturing locations along more than 4500+ employees. Astral Pipes has reflected its interest in the sports business arena. Apart from GT, the Indian company is the associate sponsor of Mumbai Indians (MI) and the official partner of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Astral Pipes was also the associate sponsor of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) team, Gujarat Giants for the eighth season.

On the commercial field, the Gujarat franchise have been on a sponsorship signing spree as they have inked a deal with Capri Global, toothsi, ACKO, Meesho and Ather Energy. GT will commence their debut IPL season on March 28 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
