IPL 2022: BookMyShow acquires ticketing rights for upcoming season

Tickets for the 70 matches are now on sale via the website.

India’s leading ticketing and entertainment platform, BookMyShow has been announced as the exclusive ticketing partner for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which will begin on March 26.

BookMyShow will also handle venue assistance for all stadiums, including gate entry and spectator management services, as part of the agreement for the 70 league matches that will be played this year across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Pune in the state of Maharashtra.

Tickets for the 70 matches are now on sale via the website. While tickets for some matches start at INR 800, the majority of matches cost around INR 2000.

He also stated that BookMyShow will adhere to strict covid-appropriate protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of fans and venue staff.

Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) and DY Patil Sports Stadium (Navi Mumbai) will host 20 matches each out of 70, while Brabourne Stadium (Mumbai) and MCA International Stadium (Pune) will host 15 each.

The first match of the Tata IPL 2022 will take place on March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
