Sunrisers Hyderabad have been going through a poor form in this IPL season, as they only won four games out of 11 matches. Even since the resumption of phase 2 in the UAE, they emerged victorious just once out of the four games that they have played. They are currently placed last in the points table and will be aiming for a couple of victories to conclude the season on a positive note. They’ll be expecting their Indian players such as Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar to provide a standout performance in the remaining games. SRH lost to Chennai Super Kings by six wickets earlier this week.
Kolkata Knight Riders are currently placed fourth in the points table with 10 points in 12 games. They lost their previous game against the KL Rahul-led side Punjab Kings by five wickets. Venkatesh Iyer and Rahul Tripathi have been performing consistently with their bat but their bowling still seems a bit weak. Fans would be expecting their experienced bowlers Tim Southee and Sunil Narine to perform well in the upcoming crucial games.
Both franchises have played a total of 20 matches against each other out of which Kolkata Knight Riders emerged victorious 13 times while Hyderabad just won seven games.
The last time both the teams faced each other was back in April during phase 1 of the competition, the Knight Riders clinched the victory by beating Hyderabad by 10 runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad – SRH will be missing out on Jonny Bairstow but will have the rest of their squad.
Kolkata Knight Riders – KKR will be without Pat Cummins but will have a fully-fit squad at their disposal.
