Chennai Super Kings are yet to lose a game in phase 2 of the IPL 2021. Their latest victory came against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. They have acquired the first spot in the IPL standings with 16 points in ten games. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo have been the star performers for the side as they sit atop the standings.
Rajasthan Royals have won only one of their four matches since the recommencement of IPL 2021. They lost their previous match on Wednesday against RCB by seven wickets. They have acquired the seventh spot in the IPL standings with eight points in 11 games. Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson have been the men in form for the side and will have to play a major role in the remainder of the season.
Both the sides have faced each other on 24 occasions, where CSK has won the tie 15 times while RR emerged victorious on nine occasions.
The last time both sides faced each other was back in April where the Chennai-based franchise won the game by 45 runs.
