IPL 2021 Phase 2 RCB vs CSK: Preview, head-to-head, and sponsors

CSK has acquired the second spot while RCB has occupied the third spot in the IPL standings.

In the 35th fixture of the VIVO IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore will be taking on Chennai Super Kings on Friday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE at 7:30 PM IST. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore will be heading into this fixture on the back of a defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders. They have currently acquired the third spot in the IPL standings with ten points in eight games. RCB will be looking to turn it around on Friday against the in-form CSK and register their first win in the second phase of the edition.

Chennai Super Kings won comfortably against Mumbai Indians in the first match of the recommencement. They have occupied the second spot in the IPL standings with 12 points in eight games. The Chennai-based franchise will be depending on MS Dhoni’s leadership, the dynamic opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, and the veterans in their line-up.

Head-to-Head: 

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings have faced each other on 28 occasions. CSK is dominating the tie as the three-time IPL winners have won on 18 occasions while RCB has emerged victorious on nine instances. 

The last time RCB played against CSK was back in April during phase 1, CSK thrashed RCB by 69 runs.
