Delhi Capitals lost their first match of phase 2 of IPL 2021 as Kolkata Knight Riders beat them by three wickets on Tuesday. They have acquired the second spot in the IPL standings with 16 points in 11 games. The performances of Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, and skipper Rishab Pant have been key for DC and have kept them among the top two teams in the competition.
Both the teams have faced each other on 29 occasions, where Mumbai Indians have won the tie a total of 16 times and Delhi Capitals emerged victorious on 13 occasions.
The last time both sides faced each other was back in April during phase 1 of the competition, where the Delhi Capitals won the match by six wickets.
Delhi Capitals- DC will be missing out on M. Siddharth due to injury and Chris Woakes, who didn’t participate in phase 2.
