They have acquired second place in the IPL standings with 16 points in ten games. DC will be hoping that their in-form players continue their momentum for the forthcoming game.
Kolkata Knight Riders have won two of their three matches in phase 2 of IPL 2021. Their only loss came against the table-toppers Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. They have occupied the fourth spot in the IPL standings with eight points in ten games. Venkatesh Iyer has been the performer for KKR this season and he will have to play a key role if they want to earn the two points and stay in contention for the playoffs.
Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders have faced each other on 27 occasions. KKR has won 14 times with DC emerging as the victor on 13 occasions.
The last time both the teams faced each other was back in phase 1 of the tournament, where DC won the game by seven wickets.
Delhi Capitals – DC will be without their left-arm spin-bowler Manimaran Siddharth due to injury. The English player Chris Woakes will be missing the tournament, Ben Dwarshuis was announced as his replacement.
Kolkata Knight Riders – KKR will be missing the services of Pat Cummins but will have the rest of their squad at their disposal.
