With phase 2 of IPL 2021 underway and franchises taking on each other, the 33rd fixture of IPL 2021 will see Delhi Capitals play against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday at the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai at 7:30 PM IST.
Delhi Capitals acquired the first spot in the IPL standings going into phase 2 of the tournament. DC dropped down to second place as Chennai Super Kings won against Mumbai Indians on Sunday to acquire the number one spot.
DC pocketed 12 points in eight games so far, they will be looking to continue their fabulous form in phase 2. With the return of Shreyas Iyer from injury, the DC line-up has certainly become stronger than the first phase. Delhi will be heading into this fixture on the back of a seven-wicket victory over Punjab Kings before the IPL 2021 was indefinitely suspended.
SRH, however, is in the last position on the points table with just two points in seven games. SRH will heavily depend upon the services of David Warner, Kane Williamson, and Rashid Khan. With the withdrawal of Jonny Bairstow from phase 2, SRH has a big task of finding a perfect replacement for the English player. SRH lost to Rajasthan Royals by 55 runs in their final game of phase 1.

Both Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad have faced each other on 19 occasions. SRH has the upper hand as they’ve won 11 times while DC has been the victor eight times.
The last outing between the two teams was a tie, the Delhi-based franchise emerged victorious in the super over.

Delhi Capitals – DC will be without their left-arm spin-bowler Manimaran Siddharth due to injury. England’s all-rounder Chris Woakes opted not to participate in the second phase of the IPL. Delhi Capitals announced Ben Dwarshuis as a replacement for Chris Woakes.
Sunrisers Hyderabad – SRH will be missing out on the services of the experienced Bairstow.
