The renowned Indian sports management organization, IOS Sports and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd has signed the Olympic wrestler siblings, Babita and Geeta Phogat to its talent roster.
The Phogat sisters come from a talented wrestling family, who have been trained by their father Mahavir Singh Phogat, who was a wrestler along with a senior Olympics coach and also the recipient of the Dronacharya Award.
The Phogat sisters have also made a name for themselves by making the country proud on multiple occasions at a global level.
At the Commonwealth Games 2010, Geeta Phogat won the maiden gold medal for India in wrestling at the iconic multi-sport event. She also became the first-ever Indian female wrestler to qualify for the summer Olympic games.
Babita Phogat is also a decorated Indian wrestler, who has won medals on several occasions at the highest level. She won the gold medal at the CWG 2014, and silver medals at the 2010 and 2018 editions of CWG. At the 2012 World Wrestling Championships, she won the bronze medal.
While speaking about her partnership with IOS, Geeta said, “I am excited to have IOS sports as a part of my team. They have a plethora of decorated Olympic and Paralympic players associated with them along with many upcoming athletes. Their work with them has been tremendous and I am looking forward to an exciting partnership with them.”
Babita on her partnership with IOS said, “It was important for me to have a specialist on board to manage my commercial interests so that I can plan my career ahead in a better manner and I am glad to have IOS, who is one of the best as my partners. I strongly believe in women’s empowerment and I want to inspire the younger generation with my experiences not only in wrestling but in the field, they are good at. Along with this, I would like to further my contribution to Indian Wrestling in the days ahead.”

The Phogat sisters are the latest addition to the IOS Sports and Entertainment’s elite talent roster which includes Humaira Mushtaq, Aaradhya Yadav, Karan Sharma, Dhruv Kapila, Ishaan Bhatnagar, Vijender Singh, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu and MC Mary Kom.
