Intex Technologies has expanded its cricket sponsorship portfolio by partnering with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) as the national team sponsor of the Sri Lankan men’s cricket team for the ongoing India Tour of Sri Lanka 2026.

The association covers the two-match Test series between Sri Lanka and India, giving Intex prominent visibility through branding on the Sri Lankan team’s playing jersey and LED perimeter boards. The first Test is being played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from August 15 to 19, with the second Test scheduled at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo from August 23 to 27. The series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 cycle.

For Intex, the partnership represents another step in its growing use of cricket as a platform for consumer engagement and brand building. The company has increasingly aligned itself with international cricket properties, seeking to leverage the sport’s reach across key consumer markets.

Commenting on the association, Keshav Bansal, Director, Intex Technologies, said, “Our association with Sri Lanka Cricket marks an exciting new chapter in Intex’s journey with international cricket. The India–Sri Lanka series offers us a great platform to engage with India’s passionate cricket audience, strengthen our connection with consumers, and build greater visibility and relevance of the Intex brand. As we continue to expand our presence across consumer electronics and durables, we see meaningful sporting associations such as this as an important part of building a stronger and more contemporary consumer brand.”

Upul Navaratne Bandara, Head of Marketing of Sri Lanka Cricket, added, “We are delighted to welcome Intex Technologies as the National Team Sponsor of Sri Lanka Cricket for this highly anticipated Test series. Intex is a prominent Indian consumer technology brand with a strong connection with consumers across India. We are pleased to have them partner with Sri Lanka Cricket for this series. The association reflects the strong commercial appeal of India–Sri Lanka cricket, and we look forward to a mutually successful partnership and an exciting series of Test cricket.”

The deal follows Intex’s recent cricket associations around the India–Afghanistan, India–Ireland and India–England series, underlining a broader strategy of building sustained visibility through international cricket rather than relying on a single property.

From a sports-business perspective, the partnership illustrates the growing value of bilateral cricket as a regional marketing platform. For Intex, the Sri Lanka association provides access to audiences across both markets while positioning the brand alongside a high-profile India tour.
