The partnership has marked Inter Milan’s first foray into blockchain technology, solidifying its commitment to innovation. BlockDAG has become Inter’s official blockchain partner, integrating its secure and efficient technology across various fan engagement initiatives. This includes ticketing, merchandise, and other fan experiences.
Commenting on the occasion, Alessandro Antonello – CEO Corporate FC Internazionale Milano, “We are thrilled to welcome BlockDAG as our official blockchain partner. Antony Turner – CEO BlockDAG, added, “Teaming up with Inter, a club with a storied history and a massive following, is a significant milestone for BlockDAG. This collaboration not only elevates our brand but also positions us at the forefront of blockchain adoption in mainstream sports. Fans – both in the iconic San Siro stadium and watching afar – will witness BlockDAG’s branding prominently displayed on LED screens and big screens during Inter’s home games. The collaboration extends to digital content, social media activations, and targeted campaigns, solidifying BlockDAG’s position in mainstream sports.
BlockDAG is a blockchain technology that deviates from the traditional chain-based structure. Instead, it uses a directed acyclic graph (DAG) to record transactions, allowing for greater scalability and efficiency. This unique approach enables faster transaction times and lower fees than traditional blockchains. BlockDAG is gaining attention for its potential to revolutionize various industries, including finance, supply chain management, and gaming. Notably, BlockDAG recently partnered with the Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund, further solidifying its presence within sports.
The 2024/25 season also marks the debut of Gate.io and BPER with Inter, while KONAMI retains its position. Betsson Group joins the partnership as the club’s new official main partner and Qatar Airways as the club’s official airline partner.
Milan’s 2024/25 season has begun on a positive note, with two wins and one draw. The club will face AC Monza on September 15, aiming to continue its title defence.
