Inter Miami CF and St. Louis City SC set to join eMLS

Major League Soccer has announced that Inter Miami CF and St. Louis CITY SC will join eMLS. The two clubs will join the eMLS in the 2021 season. MLS has been organizing EA Sports FIFA League that has been eventually named as eMLS.

With the addition of Inter Miami and Louis City, the 2021 eMLS season will now feature 27 eMLS players in its fourth season.

St. Louis CITY SC will play the inaugural MLS campaign in 2023. The debut for the club in esports is set to come early. The club will host two virtual scouting tournaments on November 7 and Sunday, November 8 to give a fan the chance to become the first player to represent St. Louis’ MLS team on the virtual pitch. Participants must be over the age of 18 and live within 125 miles of the St. Louis CITY SC Stadium district site in Downtown West.

Inter Miami joined the traditional MLS tournament in 2020 and will now enter eMLS in 2021, as part of the eMLS latest expansion move.

The complete eMLS 2021 schedule and further details on eMLS Cup, including player announcements and tournament structure, will be shared as the competition draws closer.

As it enters its fourth season in 2021, eMLS has been a groundbreaking platform to merge esports with football. This move by MLS will help in reaching a global audience.
