The Major League Soccer club, Inter Miami CF, have officially named their new home, Nu Stadium, marking a major milestone in the development of the club’s permanent venue within the Miami Freedom Park entertainment district in Miami, Florida.
The naming rights agreement comes through a partnership with Brazilian fintech company Nubank, whose branding will be associated with the stadium as the club prepares to move into the new venue in 2026.
Nu Stadium will become the long-term home of Inter Miami in MLS, replacing the club’s current venue, Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, which has served as the team’s temporary base since its inaugural season.
Jorge Mas, Inter Miami’s Managing Owner, said, “Inter Miami was built to set new standards and redefine what’s possible in fútbol. That’s why we pursue greatness on the pitch by signing the best players in the world, and just as importantly, we hold ourselves to that same standard when choosing the partners who help bring our vision to life.
“Nu is exactly the partner we look for – driven by the same disruptor mindset and global ambition that define Inter Miami. Together, we are proud to welcome our fans to Nu Stadium at Miami Freedom Park very soon, a special place they can call home where they can feel connected, inspired, and part of something truly extraordinary.”
Inter Miami Co-Owner David Beckham added, “Miami has always been a place where people come with big dreams and from the very beginning, we wanted this club to reflect that spirit.
“Opening our new stadium is a really special moment on our journey – a place for fans across South Florida and for people from around the world who feel connected to our club to watch us play. Nu Stadium will be a home for the Inter Miami family and a place that reminds everyone who visits of the Freedom to Dream.”
Located in Miami’s Grapeland Heights neighbourhood next to Miami International Airport, Nu Stadium forms the centrepiece of the wider Miami Freedom Park development, a large sports and entertainment complex being built on the former site of the Melreese Country Club golf course.
The soccer-specific venue will have a capacity of approximately 26,700 seats and is expected to open on April 4, 2026, when Inter Miami is scheduled to host Austin FC in its first official match at the stadium.
Designed by MANICA Architecture in collaboration with Arquitectonica, the venue will feature a two-tier seating bowl, an elevated main concourse and a tensile cable roof structure that will create one of the largest overhead canopies in MLS while meeting South Florida’s stringent hurricane-resistance standards.
Backed by Inter Miami’s ownership group, the project aims to provide the club with a permanent home while strengthening Miami’s status as a major football destination in North America.
Once completed, Nu Stadium is expected to host MLS matches, international football fixtures, concerts and large-scale entertainment events, forming the centrepiece of a new sports and lifestyle district designed to attract visitors throughout the year.
