IndyCar lands record 14 races on the main NBC network

It will also stream the qualifying and practice races along with the other 17 that are scheduled.

The 2022 NTT IndyCar Series will have 14 of its total 17 scheduled races air domestically on the NBC network which is one more than that which was announced in July. 

Peacock Premium will be exclusively streaming the Streets of Toronto race which is scheduled to be held on July 22nd, 2022. 

It will also stream the qualifying and practice races along with the other 17 that are scheduled. 

Mark Miles, Penske Entertainment Corp president, and chief executive, said, “This schedule continues to build on the growth and momentum the NTT IndyCar Series has achieved, especially in 2021, our terrific partnership with NBC Sports has led to a fantastic opportunity to place an unparalleled 14 events on broadcast television while completing the rest of the schedule with USA Network and Peacock.” 

The 2022 IndyCar Series kicks off from February 27 with the first scheduled race in St. Petersburg, Florida, this also marks the start of the series in February since the 2004 season. 

The season build-up will be slow considering there is only one race per month for the first three months (February, March, and April). 

The Texas Motor Speedway will be held in March for the first time and the Acura Grand Prix will be returning to the summer calendar which will be broadcasted on the NBC network for the first time in 15 years.
